Pretty much everything else out there works only by reading the Barcode and / or Magstripe of the ID. These security features have become extremely easy to fake and duplicate. The other scanners might package them with computers and cameras and other fancy add ons - but they are still only reading the Barcode and Magstripe info! There are systems out on the market that take a picture of the ID - WOW! That still doesn't tell you if it is a real or a fake ID.
Our system reads and stores images of both the front and back of the ID; it takes an infared image to detect security features and alterations. Advanced ID Scanners have the ability to detect microprint, nanoprint, and other hidden security features not visible to the eye. You do not need to look things up in a manual to check IDs -- our Visual AIDD software does that for you. Each ID scanned has up to 60 security checks done and displayed on screen in about 5 seconds!
Oh, we almost forgot to tell you. We have the VIP , Banned, Passback, Video, Image Capture, Facial Comparison, date and time stamp of each ID scanned, and a form filling feature as well!
Above all Advanced ID Detection scanners will tell you if the ID you are scanning is REAL or FAKE! Most anything else will just read barcode and magstripe info.
