About Us
Advanced ID Detection was founded in late 2009 in order to bring the best state of the art ID reading and validation technology to the retail marketplace. Advances in the art of producing good quality fake IDs and their ready availability has made much of the existing "age verification" technology based on magnetic stripe and barcode reading alone somewhat obsolete. Advanced technology to automatically read IDs, licenses, and passports has been available since early in the last decade but at a cost factor that limited its use mostly to high security government applications and high financial risk areas. The goal of Advanced ID Systems is to make this advanced technology available to smaller commercial enterprises with an easy to use POS-friendly interface and an affordable cost. Our new Visual AIDD system combines our advanced AIDD-150 reader with a user interface perfect for the retail environment. Recently, we have also been providing customized systems to police organizations to aid in combatting underage drinking.
